Dame Sarah Connolly and Il Gardellino

Dame Sarah Connolly: she is a living legend. In 2017 she was knighted for her many services (hence Dame). In December 2023 she received the prestigious award The King’s Medal of Music from the hands of King Charles. ‘The Committee agreed that Dame Sarah is an exceptional artist, as well as an advocate for greater support for the arts and a role model for many across the music sector’. We honour Dame Sarah with a mini-series about her, today the second concert.  Since Il Gardellino’s dazzling performance in last season’s Baroque Vocal series, this ensemble has been definitively considered one of the world-famous baroque ensembles.
